Hi Andrew! Your layout looks pretty organized, but a bit plain. I know that people say never judge a book by it's cover, but we are all guilty of it. Also, you kind of just go straight into the story, which feels slightly off. Other than that, you did a great job writing the descriptions, I could see every scene in my mind. Even though I haven't read the story of Sindbad, the author's note helped a bit to shine some light on the original story. I liked how you changed it so that it was more realistic. I know in your author's note you said that you felt awkward about the whale scene but I think it works well with your story. You made it your own while still staying true to the original tale. I am glad that you did leave a sort of open ending, I don't think I have met anyone who doesn't enjoy a sequel to a good story. You're a really great writer!
